The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) announced that Brussels and Bangkok will host four World Coffee Championship events for the 2026 competition season.
The trade organization said the 2026 World Cup Tasters Championship will be held in conjunction with its annual World of Coffee Asia trade show, which will take place May 7-9 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Thailand.
Three other events — the World Brewers Cup, World Coffee Roasting Championship and the World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship — will take place during the group’s annual European World of Coffee show, taking place June 25–27 at the Brussels Expo in Belgium.
As previously announced, the SCA’s World Barista Championship is scheduled to take place at World of Coffee Panama, coming Oct. 23-25, 2026, in Panama City, while the World Latte Art Championship will take place April 10-12 at World of Coffee San Diego.
The organization has not yet announced plans for its final global event, the Cezve/Ibrik Championship.
In today’s announcement, the SCA said the event series — which pits sanctioned national champions against one another on a global stage — is designed to “inspire a global audience to engage with coffee in deeper and more meaningful ways.”
